Description

Christie Clinic's department of Physical Therapy is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist for our outpatient clinic on University in Champaign, working Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, with no weekends or holidays.

We offer excellent benefits and opportunities for specialization. New graduates of accredited Physical Therapy programs are welcome to apply. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required; a Master's or Doctorate degree is preferred. A license to practice in Illinois is required. Certification in Lymphedema and OT experience are preferred.

This role involves evaluating, planning, interpreting, and implementing specific physical therapy treatment programs. The therapist will collaborate with various health professionals.

Job Duties:
  • Collaborate with health professionals.
  • Consult, educate, and engage in critical inquiry.
  • Supervise occupational therapy services and support staff.
  • Evaluate and diagnose occupational therapy needs.
  • Develop care plans in coordination with staff and medical team.
  • Communicate with patients and team members.
  • Document patient information per guidelines.
  • Maintain patient records and charts.
  • Educate patients and families.
  • Apply and modify interventions based on evaluations.
  • Review patient progress and co-sign notes.
  • Use appropriate billing codes and understand insurance regulations.
  • Develop policies and ensure quality and safety standards.
  • Participate in educational programs and data collection.
  • Maintain a clean and functional work environment.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Physical Demands: Sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 75 pounds, using equipment, and effective communication are required. Corrected vision and hearing are necessary.

Working Conditions: Clinical setting with exposure to potential hazards. Irregular hours may be required.

Qualifications
Education

Required: Bachelor's degree or higher.

Preferred: Doctorate or Master's degree.

Experience

Preferred: Lymphedema certification with OT experience.

Licenses & Certifications
