Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist for per diem/PRN work at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL. The role includes a flat hourly rate with weekend differential and structured weekend hours across a four-week cycle.

You will provide direct OT services, perform comprehensive evaluations, and develop individualized plans aimed at precise functional goals, while staying current with therapies and equipment in the field. A valid IL OT license and CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold an OT degree from an AOTA-accredited program.
• Illinois OT license active or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Driver's license required if off-site duties are performed.
• CPR certification (AHA BLS for healthcare provider) is required.
• Specialty clinical certification is optional.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct occupational therapy services with thorough evaluations and individualized treatment plans.
• Evaluate upper extremity function, ADLs, general physical function, cognition, and psychosocial skills to guide goals.
• Educate patients and involve them in their own care using clear communication.
• Stay current with developments and equipment to maintain high-quality outcomes.

Hourly Pay Range:

$39.44 - $61.13 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Position: Occupational Therapist
• Flat Hourly Per Diem Rate: $51.00 per hour, additional $2.00 per hour weekend differential
• Location: Edward Hospital, Naperville, IL
• Per Diem/PRN
• Hours: 2 weekends every 4-week cycle, 8am to 4:30pm.
• Holidays: 1 Summer Holiday and 1 Winter Holiday
• Floating Location: Opportunity to float to Elmhurst Hospital

What you will do

Provides direct occupational therapy services to patients.Demonstrates an appropriate level of clinical skill, as evidenced by the completion of comprehensive and insightful evaluations, and the development of individualized and effective treatment plans designed to achieve precise, functional goals.Evaluates patients in the areas of upper extremity function, activities of daily living, generalized physical functioning, psychosocial skills and cognition/perception in order to develop and implement treatment plans and goals.Uses excellent communication skills to educate patients and engage them in their own care. Stays updated regarding developments, new techniques, and equipment in the field of occupational therapy.Maintains a well-rounded knowledge base, and clinical reasoning skills to consistently achieve expected clinical outcomes.

What you will need

Required License and/or Certification with License

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an AOTA accredited school, or the equivalent.
• Current State of Illinois Occupational Therapist Licensure
• A valid driver's license is required if the incumbent is selected to perform related duties at an off site location. If the incumbent uses their personal vehicle, the incumbent must maintain automobile liability coverage as required by law and evidence of such coverage may be requested.
• Specialty Clinical Certification, optional
• Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association -BLS for healthcare provider

Required without License

• Authorization from the NCBOT to take examination
• Proof of scheduled exam date
• Letter of Authorization stating the applicant may practice work without their license under supervision
• Illinois Occupational Therapist license within 90 days of hire
• Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association BLS for healthcare provider or American Red Cross CPR/AED for the professional rescuer certification
