Endeavor Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a per diem/PRN role at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL. The position features a flat hourly rate with weekend differential and weekend hours.

You will provide direct OT services, perform thorough evaluations, and develop individualized treatment plans to achieve precise functional goals. Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's/Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an AOTA accredited school, or the equivalent.
• Current State of Illinois Occupational Therapist Licensure.
• Valid driver's license if required for off-site duties and evidence of automobile liability coverage if personal vehicle is used.
• Specialty Clinical Certification, optional.
• Current CPR Certification (AHA BLS for healthcare provider).
• Authorization from the NCBOT to take examination.
• Proof of scheduled exam date.
• Letter of Authorization to practice work under supervision.
• Illinois OT license within 90 days of hire.
• Current CPR Certification (AHA BLS) or Red Cross CPR/AED certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct occupational therapy services to patients and develops individualized treatment plans to achieve functional goals.
• Evaluates upper extremity function, ADLs, physical functioning, cognition, and psychosocial skills to guide treatment.
• Educates patients and involves them in their own care with strong communication.
• Keeps up-to-date with OT techniques and equipment; applies clinical reasoning to achieve outcomes.
• Maintains a well-rounded knowledge base and consistent clinical outcomes.

Job description

Hourly Pay Range:

$39.44 - $61.13 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

Position: Occupational Therapist

Flat Hourly Per Diem Rate: $51.00 per hour, additional $2.00 per hour weekend differential

Location: Edward Hospital, Naperville, IL

Per Diem/PRN

Hours: 2 weekends every 4-week cycle, 8am to 4:30pm.

Holidays: 1 Summer Holiday and 1 Winter Holiday

Floating Location: Opportunity to float to Elmhurst Hospital

What you will do:

Provides direct occupational therapy services to patients. Demonstrates an appropriate level of clinical skill, as evidenced by the completion of comprehensive and insightful evaluations, and the development of individualized and effective treatment plans designed to achieve precise, functional goals. Evaluates patients in the areas of upper extremity function, activities of daily living, generalized physical functioning, psychosocial skills and cognition/perception in order to develop and implement treatment plans and goals. Uses excellent communication skills to educate patients and engage them in their own care. Stays updated regarding developments, new techniques, and equipment in the field of occupational therapy. Maintains a well-rounded knowledge base, and clinical reasoning skills to consistently achieve expected clinical outcomes.

What you will need:

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an AOTA accredited school, or the equivalent.
• Current State of Illinois Occupational Therapist Licensure
• A valid driver's license is required if the incumbent is selected to perform related duties at an off site location. If the incumbent uses their personal vehicle, the incumbent must maintain automobile liability coverage as required by law and evidence of such coverage may be requested.
• Specialty Clinical Certification, optional
• Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association - BLS for healthcare provider
• Authorization from the NCBOT to take examination
• Proof of scheduled exam date
• Letter of Authorization stating the applicant may practice work without their license under supervision
• Illinois Occupational Therapist license within 90 days of hire
• Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association BLS for healthcare provider or American Red Cross CPR/AED for the professional rescuer certification
