Job summary

A pediatric rehabilitation organization in North Carolina seeks a Physical Therapist to provide therapy services to children. The ideal candidate should have a DPT degree, active NC licensure, and preferably one year of pediatric experience. You will collaborate with a team of specialists and assist children in reaching their full potential. Qualifications

• 1 year of previous pediatric experience is preferred, new graduates will be considered.
• Pass a Background Check.
• Accurate documentation in the EMR system required.
• Thorough documentation in EMR and communication with other healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Complete evaluation, treatment, consultation, and discharge planning for children.
• Communicate with child's healthcare providers through progress reports.
• Assess and make recommendations on assistive technology if needed.
• Communicate progress with guardians and other clinicians; coordinate care.
• Assess assistive technology and adaptive equipment needs as appropriate.

Compleat KiDZ is the largest and fastest growing multi-disciplinary pediatric rehabilitation treatment organization in North Carolina. We provide Occupational, Physical, Speech, and ABA Therapy services to children birth to 18 years of age in our 18 clinics using a play-based model.

Physical Therapist (Pediatric) Requirements & Responsibilities

• 1 year of previous pediatric experience is preferred; new graduates will be considered.
• DPT degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university.
• Active North Carolina Licensure in good standing.
• Pass a Background Check.
• Complete evaluation, treatment, consultation, and discharge planning for children in an outpatient clinic.
• Accurate documentation in EMR system.
• Detailed and thorough communication with child's healthcare providers through progress reports, phone calls, and other forms of communication.
• Assess and make recommendations regarding appropriate assistive technology and/or adaptive equipment as needed.

Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is also frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to assist patients in standing/sitting; reach with hands and arms. Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs. is also required.
