Job summary

Compleat Kidz is seeking an Occupational Therapist (Pediatric) to help children reach their full potential through a play-based rehabilitation model in our North Carolina clinics.

You will evaluate, treat, and discharge planning for children, document in our EMR, and work closely with OTs, SLPs, PTs, and behavioral health clinicians in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of pediatric experience preferred; new graduates will be considered.
• Graduation from an occupational therapy program accredited by the ACOTE or equivalent.
• Licensed in the state of Virginia or eligible for licensure per state registration practices.
• Pass a Background Check.
• Complete evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning for children in outpatient clinic.
• Accurate documentation in EMR system.
• Detailed communication with child\'s healthcare providers through progress reports and other forms.
• Assess and recommend assistive technology or adaptive equipment as needed.
• Acts as supervisor for COTAs in the clinic.

Responsibilities

• Perform pediatric evaluations and plan ongoing treatment.
• Provide therapy to children in outpatient settings.
• Discharge planning and family education.
• Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports.
• Coordinate with other clinicians to support patient care.
• Evaluate assistive technology needs and equipment.
• Supervise COTAs in clinical setting.

Occupational Therapist (Pediatric) Requirements & Responsibilities:

• 1 year of previous pediatric experience is preferred; new graduates will be considered.

• Detailed and thorough communication with child's healthcare providers through progress reports, phone calls, and other forms of communication.
• Assess and make recommendations regarding appropriate assistive technology and/or adaptive equipment as needed.
• Acts as a supervisor for COTAs in the clinic.

Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is also frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to assist patients in standing/sitting; reach with hands and arms. Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs. is also required.
