Job summary

HealthPro Pediatrics, a division of HealthPro Heritage, is seeking a School-Based Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) for the Medical Therapy Unit in Madera, CA. This full-time W-2 role offers an hourly rate up to $67/hour and year-round benefits, with weekends, holidays, and school breaks off.

Mentorship and collaboration with a supportive pediatric team are provided. You will assess clients, develop and implement treatment plans, document progress, and advocate for families to access community

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist, or license eligible.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills; able to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Patient Assessment: Evaluate clients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities using observations and standardized tools.
• Treatment and Education: Create personalized treatment plans to meet clients' goals and educate families on improving daily activities and use of adaptive equipment.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Advocacy and Support: Advocate for clients' needs and assist access to community resources and accommodations.

• Advocacy and Support: Advocate for clients' needs and support them in accessing community resources, services, and accommodations.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.

• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and assist patients as needed. Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.
