Job summary

Luxor Healthcare is hiring an Occupational Therapist (OTR) to treat patients using therapeutic and self-care activities designed to improve function. The role includes monitoring patient activities, participating in meetings for coordinated care plans, documenting weekly progress, and maintaining treatment areas and equipment.

The position requires NBCOT certification and an active OT license where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered OT.
• NBCOT certification current and active per state requirements.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients by using therapeutic and self-care activities designed to improve function.
• Monitor a patient's activities to ensure correct performance and offer encouragement.
• Contribute to meetings and case conferences to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care plans for patients.
• Document patient’s weekly progress in appropriate records.
• Maintain the office treatment areas, equipment, and supply inventory.
• Instruct patients, families and caregivers in skills and techniques of the treatment program.
• Maintain NBCOT certification and a valid Occupational Therapist state license (where applicable).
