Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab is actively seeking a weekend Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team at Corning Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Corning, NY. This per diem position offers flexibility for weekend hours and the opportunity to provide skilled rehabilitation to residents in a state-of-the-art rehab gym.

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program.
• Current New York State OT License.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents’ conditions & develop appropriate physical rehabilitation plans.
• Relieve residents’ pain using exercises, hands-on therapy & stretching.
• Help residents through their tasks and monitor their performance.
• Supervise the activities of physical therapy assistants.
• Maintain resident confidence & protects facility by keeping information confidential.
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
• Maintains a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members & contributes to team effort.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program
