Sigma Health Rehab is seeking a weekend Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide therapy services in a Skilled Nursing Facility in Syracuse, NY. The OT will evaluate residents, design rehab plans, and implement treatments to improve function and quality of life.

The role offers mentorship, flexible weekend hours, and access to advanced therapy tools within a supportive team. Clinicians at all levels are welcome to apply and grow with our program.

Qualifications

• Evaluate residents’ conditions and develop rehabilitation plans.
• Relieve resident pain using exercises, hands-on therapy & stretching.
• Supervise the activities of physical therapy assistants.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and comply with legal requirements.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to support patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

Duties of an exceptional therapist include:

• Evaluate residents’ conditions & develop appropriate physical rehabilitation plans

• Relieve resident’s pain using exercises, hands-on therapy & stretching

• Help residents through their tasks and monitor their performance

• Supervise the activities of physical therapy assistants

• Maintain resident confidence & protects facility by keeping information confidential

• Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements

• Maintains a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members &contributes to team effort

OT Requirements Include:

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program

• Current New York State OT License
