Sigma Health Rehab is actively seeking a weekend Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team at Corning Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Corning, NY. This per diem position offers flexible weekend hours and opportunities to grow with mentorship and clinical support.

As an OT you will evaluate residents, develop rehab plans, implement exercises and supervise therapy assistants, while maintaining confidentiality and coordinating with the health care team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program.
• Current New York State OT License.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate residents’ conditions & develop rehabilitation plans.
• Relieve residents’ pain using exercises, hands-on therapy & stretching.
• Help residents through tasks and monitor their performance.
• Supervise the activities of physical therapy assistants.
• Maintain resident confidence & protect facility by keeping information confidential.
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
• Maintains a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members & contribute to team effort.

Duties of an exceptional therapist include:

• Evaluate residents’ conditions & develop appropriate physical rehabilitation plans

• Relieve resident’s pain using exercises, hands-on therapy & stretching

• Help residents through their tasks and monitor their performance

• Supervise the activities of physical therapy assistants

• Maintain resident confidence & protects facility by keeping information confidential

• Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements

OT Requirements Include:
