Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab is seeking a weekend Occupational Therapist (OT) to support a Skilled Nursing Facility in New York. The role focuses on evaluating residents, creating rehabilitation plans, and reducing pain through exercises and hands-on therapy.

Ideal candidates will be graduated from an accredited OT program with an active NY license and a passion for patient-centered care. Weekend availability and a commitment to team-based rehab are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program.
• Current New York State OT License.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents’ conditions & develop appropriate physical rehabilitation plans.
• Relieve resident’s pain using exercises, hands-on therapy & stretching.
• Help residents through their tasks and monitor their performance.
• Supervise the activities of physical therapy assistants.
• Maintain resident confidence & protects facility by keeping information confidential.
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
• Maintains a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members & contributes to team effort.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program

Current New York State OT License
