Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist for inpatient rehab, with a standard day shift, Monday–Friday and rotating weekends/holidays. The OT will support inpatients through evaluations, treatments, and discharge planning in a high‑quality rehab unit.

The role emphasizes collaboration with care teams, adherence to policies, and delivering patient-centered care in a leading healthcare system in Northern Virginia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• Licensure as an OT required.
• BLS from the American Heart Association required.

Responsabilités

• Adheres to department policies regarding evaluations, progress notes and discharge summaries.
• Communicates effectively with patients, family, medical staff and care team while completing administrative tasks.
• Demonstrates skill in treatment modalities, equipment and protocols during re-evaluations and plan adjustments.
• Selects evaluation and treatment methods based on patient diagnosis, age group and status.

Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is looking for a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our Inpatient Rehab team. This role will be a Full Time, Day Shift, Monday-Friday with rotating weekends and holidays.

Occupational Therapist (OT) Job Responsibilities:

• Adheres to department policies regarding the timeframe, form, and content of written evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Communicates effectively with patients, family, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts while completing all administrative tasks and other responsibilities in support of the operating unit.
• Demonstrates essential skill competencies in the use of treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols while performing re-evaluations, according to department guidelines, and adjusting the treatment plan as needed.
• Selects evaluation and treatment methods appropriate to patients' diagnosis, age group, and physical/emotional status while formulating appropriate treatment plans.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education:Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Licensure: Occupational Therapist
• Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association

Preferred Qualification:

• Occupation Therapist (OT) experience in the hospital setting
