Job summary

Orange Tree Staffing is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide education-based therapy to students district-wide in Brevard County for the school year. The role is itinerant, with up to 7.5 hours per day, aligning with the school calendar and populations from preschool through high school.

You will assess, plan, and deliver OT services, collaborating with teachers and families to support learning and function in the classroom. Licensure and ongoing professional development are required.

Qualifications

• OT state licensure is required.
• Experience delivering education-based therapy in school settings is preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and administration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of students’ fine motor, sensory, and functional needs.
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based intervention plans.
• Provide therapy to improve daily living skills, motor coordination, sensory processing, and school participation.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate OT strategies into education plans and IEPs.
• Attend IEP meetings and provide reports and recommendations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain accurate documentation, including assessments, intervention plans, progress notes, and compliance reports.
• Stay current with best practices in occupational therapy through research and professional development.
