Job summary

Evolve Therapy Services, LLC in Mobile, AL seeks an Occupational Therapist to support an in-house Skilled Nursing Facility on a PRN basis. You will assess residents, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.

Active OT license in the practicing state and ongoing continuing education are required. You will supervise COTA, document treatments, and ensure compliant reimbursement while maintaining patient-centered outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Active Occupational Therapy license in practicing state(s).
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain licensure and certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular screening of residents to determine best interventions.
• Evaluate residents to inform treatment plans with short- and long-term goals.
• Interpret and communicate findings to residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules with team.
• Conduct therapy according to plan and document/bill services.
• Perform all duties to effectively treat patients.
• Oversee COTA as needed and ensure documentation and treatments align with reimbursement practices.

Job Position:

Occupational Therapist for an In-house Skilled Nursing Facility

Job Type:

PRN

Job Purpose:

To plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by Administrator, to ensure that highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Job Functions:

• Conduct regular screening of residents to figure out the best intervention or treatment for each individual patient
• Evaluate residents to inform and develop treatment plans; establish short- and long-term goals and methods to achieve goals
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members
• Conduct therapy according to established treatment plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services
• Perform all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively treat patients
• Oversee COTA as needed and ensure all documentation and treatments are carried out with clinical excellence and proper reimbursement practices are being followed

Education & Qualifications:

• Degree in Occupational Therapy
• MUST have an Active Occupational Therapy license in practicing state(s)
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification
