Job summary

Evolve Therapy Services in Butler, AL is seeking an Occupational Therapist for an in-house Skilled Nursing Facility. This PRN position focuses on planning, organizing, developing, and directing OT services to ensure high-quality resident care.

Responsibilities include screening residents, evaluating and planning treatment, coordinating with the interdisciplinary team, scheduling therapy, and ensuring proper documentation and billing.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Active Occupational Therapy license in practicing state(s)
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification

• Evaluate residents to inform treatment plans and establish short- and long-term goals
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and the interdisciplinary team
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members
• Conduct therapy according to established treatment plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services
• Perform all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively treat patients
• Oversee COTA as needed and ensure all documentation and treatments are carried out with clinical excellence and proper reimbursement practices are being followed

Education

Degree in Occupational Therapy

Active OT license in practicing state(s)

Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain licensure

Job Position:

Occupational Therapist for an In-house Skilled Nursing Facility

Job Purpose:

To plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by Administrator, to ensure that highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Job Functions:

• Conduct regular screening of residents to figure out the best intervention or treatment for each individual patient
