Job summary

HealthPro Heritage in Westminster, MD seeks a full-time Occupational Therapist at our Atlee Hill facility to provide comprehensive therapy services and promote patient independence.

You will conduct assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, educate patients and families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes across settings including nursing facilities, hospitals, and home care.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Licensure: Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist, or license eligible.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
• Proficient in developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
• Ability to lift and assist patients as needed; stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate clients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities using observations and standardized tools.
• Create personalized treatment plans to meet clients' goals and enhance their functional abilities.
• Educate clients and their families on improving daily activities, including adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
• Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Advocate for clients' needs and support them in accessing community resources, services, and accommodations.
