Job summary

Rehab at Home Healthcare Services is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to work in home health in Waxahachie, TX. The OT will evaluate and plan care, addressing fine motor skills, sensory processing, and ADLs, while coordinating with families and staff.

• Licensed to practice Occupational Therapy in Texas.
• Current Texas Driver’s License.
• Experience in home health is preferred but not required.
• Pediatric experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations, re-evaluations, and establish individualized plans of care.
• Provide interventions focusing on fine motor skills, sensory processing, ADLs, and visual-motor integration, coordinating with caregivers.
• Complete documentation to support OT services.
• Measure progress and document in the patient’s medical record.
• Supervise COTAs as appropriate and maintain ethical standards.

Occupational Therapist Qualifications:

• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• License from the State of Texas as an Occupational Therapist
• Valid Texas Driver’s License
• Experience in the home care setting is preferred but not required.
• Pediatric experience is a plus but not required.

Occupational Therapist Role (OT):

• Perform evaluations, re-evaluations, and establish individualized plans of care.
• Provide a wide range of occupational therapy interventions focusing on fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care/activities of daily living (ADLs), and visual-motor integration, while consulting with other staff and the child's caregivers.
• Complete documentation to support the delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Measure performance and report on patient’s medical record.
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) as appropriate.
• Adhere to ethical and legal standards.
• Ensure continued competence and updated field knowledge.
