Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care in Frisco, TX is seeking a licensed pediatric occupational therapist to provide skilled OT services at the patient’s home or daytime facility for ages 0–21, 2+ times per week.

You'll define impairments with appropriate tests, interpret data, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan goals and OT interventions. Training staff and caregivers is part of the role, with supervision of assistants as needed. Bilingual Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Texas state OT license.
• Experience in pediatrics required.
• Clinical/practicum hours completed.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled OT services in patients' homes or daytime facility for ages 0–21, 2+ times per week.
• Define patients degree and type of impairment by selecting and administering testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
• Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to plan goals and OT interventions.
• Plan for and modify care to meet OT intervention goals.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients with training materials and in-service programs.
• May supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants.

Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders.
• Define patients degree and type of physical, fine motor, and sensory impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific occupational therapy modalities and interventions.
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of occupational therapy interventions.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total occupational therapy program.
• May provide supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants
