Job summary

Boost Home Healthcare - Wesley Chapel in Tampa, FL is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide in-home OT services under physician orders and the supervision of Clinical Services. You will assess, plan, and implement therapy to help patients regain independence in their homes.

Qualifications

• Passion to serve and help others live their best lives.
• OT curriculum accredited by AMA/AOTA or NRTE eligible.
• Eligible for National Registration Examination.
• Licensed by the state board (or equivalent).
• Minimum 1 year in acute care setting.
• 2 years in Home Health preferred.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Improve or minimize residual physical disabilities of the patient.
• Return the individual to optimum and productive living within the patient’s capability.
• Periodic participation with care team in patient care planning.
• Provide prescribed occupational therapy and all skilled procedures.
• Initial assessment, plan of care maintenance, and 30-day re-assessments.
• Consult with physicians regarding changes in treatment.

An Occupational Therapist (OT) administers occupational therapy to patients on an intermittent basis in their place of residence. This is performed in accordance with physician orders and plan of care under the direction and supervision of the Director of Clinical Services/Clinical Supervisor/Manager.

What you’ll be doing

• Improve or minimize residual physical disabilities of the patient.

• Provide prescribed occupational therapy and all skilled procedures.
• Responsible for initial assessment, plan of care maintenance program development and modifications and reassessments every 30 days.
• Consult with physicians regarding change in treatment.

What we’re looking for

• Graduate of an Occupational Therapy curriculum accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and /or certified by successfully completing the National Certification examination, -or-
• Eligible for the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association
• Currently licensed by the Board of Occupational and Physical Therapy Examiners in the state in which practicing, unless licensure does not apply
• Minimum of one year in an acute care setting.
• Two (2) years experience in Home Health preferred.
