Job summary

Boost Home Healthcare - North Shore (MA) seeks a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide skilled therapy in patients' homes. You will conduct initial assessments, develop and modify the plan of care, and coordinate with physicians to optimize recovery and independence.

You will deliver prescribed therapy, participate in care planning with the broader home care team, document progress every 30 days, and support patients toward their highest quality of life.

Qualifications

• Passion to serve and help others live their best lives.
• OT curriculum accredited by AMA/AOTA or equivalent, or NCLEX-ready/board eligible.
• Licensed by the state occupational therapy board where practicing.
• Minimum of one year in an acute care setting.
• Two years experience in Home Health preferred.
• Access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Improve or minimize residual physical disabilities of the patient.
• Return the individual to optimum and productive living within the patient’s capability.
• Periodically participate with all other home care personnel in patient’s care planning.
• Provide prescribed occupational therapy and all skilled procedures.
• Initial assessment, plan of care maintenance, modifications and reassessments every 30 days.
• Consult with physicians regarding change in treatment.

An Occupational Therapist (OT) administers occupational therapy to patients on an intermittent basis in their place of residence. This is performed in accordance with physician orders and plan of care under the direction and supervision of the Director of Clinical Services/Clinical Supervisor/Manager.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Graduate of an Occupational Therapy curriculum accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and /or certified by successfully completing the National Certification examination, -or-
• Eligible for the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association
• Currently licensed by the Board of Occupational and Physical Therapy Examiners in the state in which practicing, unless licensure does not apply
• Minimum of one year in an acute care setting.
• Two (2) years experience in Home Health preferred.
