Job summary

Boost Home Healthcare in Michigan is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide intermittent home-based therapy under physician orders, collaborating with the Director of Clinical Services. You’ll assess and enhance patients’ functional abilities in their own homes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Occupational Therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE and/or NBCOT-certified.
• Eligible to sit for the National Registration Examination (NBCOT).
• Licensed by the state Board of Occupational and Physical Therapy Examiners where practicing.
• Minimum of one year in an acute care setting.
• Two years of Home Health experience preferred.
• Access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Improve or minimize residual physical disabilities of the patient.
• Return the individual to optimum and productive living within the patient’s capability.
• Periodically participate with all other home care personnel in patient’s care planning.
• Provide prescribed occupational therapy and all skilled procedures.
• Responsible for initial assessment, plan of care maintenance program development and modifications and reassessments every 30 days.
• Consult with physicians regarding change in treatment.

What you’ll be doing

What we’re looking for

• Graduate of an Occupational Therapy curriculum accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and /or certified by successfully completing the National Certification examination, -or-
• Eligible for the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association
• Currently licensed by the Board of Occupational and Physical Therapy Examiners in the state in which practicing, unless licensure does not apply
• Minimum of one year in an acute care setting.
• Two (2) years experience in Home Health preferred.
• Access to reliable transportation
