Job summary

Intensive Specialty Hospital is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide direct patient care within a LTAC setting. The role includes patient assessment, treatment planning, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary rehab team.

Qualified candidates will hold a valid state license, demonstrate excellent English communication, and possess strong documentation skills. LTAC experience is preferred, with opportunities to contribute to clinical program development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Must hold a current state license and license renewal per state requirements.
• LTAC experience is preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Perform patient assessments, develop care plans, and deliver treatment.
• Supervise therapists, assistants, technicians, and aides as required.

Intensive Specialty Hospital is a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital. We provide cardiopulmonary care, ventilator and respiratory care, complex wound care, rehabilitation therapies, addiction medicine program, geriatric psychiatry program, multidisciplinary pain program, and outpatient counseling program. With four locations, Shreveport Campus, Bossier City Campus, North Campus, and Pierremont, we are the largest provider of LTAC services in Northwest Louisiana.

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for providing Direct Patient Care within the scope of practice. Will provide patient assessment, care planning, direct treatment and consultation to a general rehab caseload, participated in the clinical program development and supervises other licensed therapists, assistants, technician, and aides as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited school
• Must hold a current state license and must maintain license renewal in accordance with the applicable State Licensing Board.
• Long term acute care experience is preferred
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English, as well as possess good verbal and written communications skills
