Intensive Specialty Hospital in Shreveport, LA is seeking a Speech Therapist (SLP) to perform comprehensive evaluations of cognitive communication and swallowing, and to develop individualized treatment plans to maximize functional communication and swallowing.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate from an accredited ASHA-certified program.
• Must hold a current state license and maintain license renewal.
• One to two years' speech therapy experience, LTAC and rehab experience preferred.
• Must read, write and speak English with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Intensive Specialty Hospital is a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital. We provide cardiopulmonary care, ventilator and respiratory care, complex wound care, rehabilitation therapies, addiction medicine program, geriatric psychiatry program, multidisciplinary pain program, and outpatient counseling program. With four locations, Shreveport Campus, Bossier City Campus, North Campus, and Pierremont, we are the largest provider of LTAC services in Northwest Louisiana.

The Speech Therapist is responsible for providing a comprehensive evaluation of cognitive communication skills and/or swallowing function and provide goal-oriented treatment to facilitate maximum communication and/or swallowing function potential.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited American Speech-Language Hearing Associations program satisfying the ASHA certification, Masters' Degree preferred
• Must hold a current state license and must maintain license renewal in accordance with the applicable State Licensing Board.
• One to two years speech therapy experience, long term acute care and rehabilitation experience preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English, as well as possess good verbal and written communications skills.
