Job summary

HealthPro Heritage is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist to support memory care and assisted living residents, with potential to grow to full-time as caseload expands. The split position covers Cedar Grove (Parkersburg, WV) and Elison of Marietta (Marietta, OH), offering a diverse caseload and collaborative, interdisciplinary team.

You will assess, treat, and educate residents, emphasizing cognition, ADLs, balance and fall prevention, while building lasting relationships with residents

• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
• Proficient in developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Patient Assessment: Evaluate clients' physical, emotional and cognitive abilities using observations and standardized tools.
• Treatment and Education: Create personalized treatment plans and educate clients and families on improving daily activities and use of adaptive equipment.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress and plans per standards.
• Advocacy and Support: Advocate for clients' needs and connect them with community resources.

Need: Part-time (15-20 hours), with room to grow to full-time (40 hours).

Locations: Split position between Cedar Grove in Parkersburg, WV, and Elison of Marietta in Marietta, OH

Setting: Memory Care and Assisted Living

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Licensure: Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist, or license eligible
• Skills: Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills. Proficient in developing and implementing effective treatment plans. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and assist patients as needed. Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.
