Job summary

Potomac Valley Nursing & Rehab Center is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) for a PRN position. The role focuses on direct patient care, evaluating residents, and developing patient-centered treatment plans within a team-oriented environment.

Ideal candidates will hold a valid OT license and have familiarity with geriatric or long-term care settings; a flexible schedule and commitment to professional growth are valued at our facility.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct patient care to assess medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation.
• Establish and administer a treatment program with goals determined according to patient capacity and tolerance under physician direction.
• Document and record patient condition and educate patients and families in appropriate methods.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient-centered treatment and care.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Providing direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation.
• Establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patient’s capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician.
• Document and record the patients’ condition and educate patients and families in an appropriate physical therapy method.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
