Job summary

TheraCare seeks an Occupational Therapist to deliver Early Intervention services in the Brooklyn area for children aged 0–3. You will work in the child’s natural environment to support fine motor skills, sensory processing, and adaptive behavior while partnering with families and a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements include NYS OT licensure, a degree from an accredited OT program, and EI/home-based experience. Strong communication and travel within the borough are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage time effectively and document accurately.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct occupational therapy services for infants and toddlers aged 0–3.

• Coach caregivers to support therapy carryover at home.
• Maintain accurate records in adherence with NYC EI documentation standards.

Position Overview

As an Occupational Therapist in the Early Intervention program, you will provide services to infants and toddlers with developmental delays. You will work directly in the child’s natural environment to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, and adaptive behavior, while collaborating with families and interdisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy services for children ages 0–3
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IFSP goals
• Work collaboratively with families and interdisciplinary team members
• Coach and educate caregivers to support therapy carryover at home
• Maintain accurate records and comply with NYC Early Intervention documentation standards
• Participate in IFSP meetings and case reviews as needed

Qualifications:

• Current NYS license and registration as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
• Degree from an accredited occupational therapy program
