Job summary

Flagstar Rehab is hiring Occupational Therapists to service residents in skilled nursing facilities across NYC and surrounding areas. OTs will evaluate, treat, and educate patients and families to improve function and cognition in daily activities, working with a diverse multi-disciplinary team.

• EMR Competence.
• State Required Medical Documentation for work in a Skilled Nursing Facility.
• Valid Proof of Identity and Work Authorization.
• Malpractice/Liability Insurance (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Provides Occupational Therapy services to residents by assessment, treatment, and program development.
• Conducts individual, supervised, and group treatment as outlined in the plan.
• Monitors resident response to intervention and suggests modifications.
• Adheres to department and resident schedule and adjusts as needed.
• Maintains resident care standards as determined by the OT.

Occupational Therapist (OT) in Skilled Nursing Facility

Flagstar Rehab OTs work with a diverse and multi-disciplinary team to perform evaluations, treatments, and patient/family education to improve the physicality and cognition of their patients and positively impact their ability to function in their daily lives.

Pay Rate: $46-$48 Hourly (W-2), $57-$60 Hourly (1099)

Occupational Therapist Job Duties:

• Provides Occupational Therapy services to residents by assisting in the assessment and treatment, development and implementation of programs, and related professional in-services.
• Conducts individual, supervised and group treatment as assigned by the Occupational Therapist and as outlined in the treatment plan.
• Monitors resident's response to intervention and consults with Occupational Therapist if modification is indicated.
• Adheres to department and resident schedule and modifies as appropriate for treatment regimen.
• Maintains acceptable resident care rations as determined by the Occupational Therapist.
