Therapy & Beyond in McKinney, TX is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to deliver direct therapy services in a clinic setting, collaborating with BCBAs, SLPs, and families to support pediatric and adolescent clients.

Qualifications

• Current Texas State License as an Occupational Therapist.
• Two years of direct service work in a treatment setting preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with ASD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical assessment and identify patient needs and goals.
• Document and revise Plan of Care, progress notes, and other clinical records.
• Assess ROM, strength, coordination, adaptive equipment, and safety related to ADL performance.
• Implement, monitor, collect, and evaluate data.
• Evaluate treatment efficiency and effectiveness.
• Demonstrate professional behavior and crisis intervention competence.
• Train parents and staff effectively.

Job Description

TheOccupational Therapistposition is responsible for the direct implementation of therapy services within a clinic-based environment. This position will work closely with BCBAs, SLPs, and families to ensure that each patient in the organization receives quality therapeutic care!

This role will be aFull-Time,salariedposition supporting pediatric and adolescent clients on-site at ourMcKinneyClinic.

• Perform clinical assessment; identifypatient needs and target developmental goals
• Document, prepare/revises, and complete a Plan of Care, progress notes, and other clinical record documentation on an ongoing basis
• Assess and facilitatethe patient’s ROM, strength, coordination, need for and use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications, functional mobility, and safety issues as related to the patient’s ADL performance needs
• Implement, monitor, collect and evaluate data.
• Evaluate the efficiencyof the treatment
• Demonstration of professional behavior
• Competence with Crisis Intervention
• Facilitateeffective training with parents and staff
• Perform other duties as assigned
