Job summary

Liberty POST in Hauppauge, NY is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to serve children in Early Intervention and CPSE/CSE settings. Roles include office/clinic or home-based sessions, with flexible part-time or full-time hours and competitive rates.

You will assess progress, adapt treatment plans, and maintain confidential records while complying with NYS laws. A driver’s license and vehicle insurance are required, and mentoring and ongoing CEU access are provided.

Qualifications

• Licensed OT in NY required.
• Knowledge of NYS OT laws and regulations.
• Minimum of two years of experience with children preferred.
• Experience in sensory integration preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of car insurance.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor and adjust child’s progress and treatment plans using EMR.
• Conduct occupational therapy sessions for children with various diagnoses (ASD, sensory issues, etc.).
• Provide center-based and/or home-based services.
• Maintain confidentiality of records and documentation.
• Follow NY state laws/regulations for EI, CPSE/CSE.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assess, monitor and track child’s progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly using our Electronic Medical Record system.
• Conduct Occupational Therapy sessions for children with various diagnoses (ex: ASD, sensory issues, fine motor delay, etc.).
• Provide center-based and/or home care services.
• Effectively organize and maintain confidentially of child’s records and other documentations.
• Follow all state laws and regulations as it pertains to Early Intervention, CPSE/CSE special education.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist in the State of New York required.
• Knowledge of New York State laws/regulations in regard to Occupational
  Therapy.
• Minimum of two years of experience working with children is preferred.
• Experience in sensory integration is preferred.
• A valid driver's license and proof of car insurance.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills.
