Epic Rehabilitation and Nursing at White Plains seeks a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our 160-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center.

You will plan, organize, and implement OT services, participate in discharge planning, and maintain resident care records while collaborating with the rehab and nursing teams to restore and maximize residents' independence.

Weekend availability is required for PRN/per diem scheduling.

• Occupational Therapist, OT is to assist in planning, organizing, developing, and implementing Occupational Therapy services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and as may be directed by the Director of Rehabilitation and/or the Administrator, to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times
• Occupational Therapist, OT must possess the ability to plan, develop, organize, evaluate, and implement the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc., of the occupational therapy program to help residents obtain/maintain their highest level of physical, mental and social well-being.
• Occupational Therapist, OT will Interpret and/or instruct in physical therapy policies and procedure to personnel, residents, family members, etc. as necessary.
• Occupational Therapist, OT will participate in discharge planning, development and implementation of resident care plans, resident assessments (MDS), etc. as necessary
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants as required.
• Maintain treatment records, resident files, and progress notes as required and maintain an adequate liaison with families and residents

Requirements

• Must possess a current license and registration to practice as a Occupational Therapist, OT in the State of NY.
• Must possess current malpractice insurance, license in good standing
