Job summary

The Riverside Premier Rehabilitation and Healing Center in Manhattan is hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist to join our rehabilitation team on site. You will interview with the people you will actually work with and provide hands-on OT care.

We emphasize interdisciplinary collaboration, mentorship for new grads, structured onboarding, and growth across our 35-facility network, with a resident-first approach and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid Occupational Therapist license and registration in the state of practice, or license eligible.
• Ability to supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants in accordance with the state practice act.
• Comfort with clinical documentation including evaluations, weekly progress notes, recertifications.
• Commitment to confidentiality, HIPAA, and Federal Resident Rights.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate referred residents to determine medical status and rehabilitation potential.
• Build individualized treatment plans with measurable goals based on capacity.
• Deliver skilled OT interventions focused on ADL performance, safety, and function.
• Complete evaluations, progress notes, recertifications, and discharge documentation.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques and safety.
• Collaborate with PT, SLP, nursing, dietitians, and social work to ensure discharge readiness.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and students per state act.
