Job summary

The Riverside Premier Rehabilitation and Healing Center in Manhattan's Upper West Side is hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist to join our rehabilitation team. You will interview with the people you will actually work with and contribute to an interdisciplinary care plan.

Ideal for new grads, we offer structured mentorship, on-site leadership, and opportunities across a 35-facility network, with every clinician playing a key role in improving resident outcomes.

Qualifications

• OT degree from an accredited program.
• Valid OT license/registration in state of practice, or license eligible.
• Ability to supervise OT Assistants per state act.
• Comfort with clinical documentation (evaluations, progress notes, recerts, discharge summaries).
• Commitment to confidentiality and resident rights (HIPAA).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate referred residents to determine medical status, functional ability, limitations, precautions and rehab potential.
• Build individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
• Deliver OT interventions focused on ADL, safety and function.
• Complete evaluations, weekly progress notes, recertifications and discharge docs on time.
• Educate residents, families and caregivers on therapy techniques and safety.
• Collaborate with PT, SLP, nursing, dietitians and social work for discharge readiness.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
• Supervise OTAs and students per state practice act.
