Qualifications
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in NY.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate referred residents to determine medical status and rehabilitation potential.
- Build individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
- Deliver skilled OT interventions focused on ADL performance and safety.
- Complete evaluations, progress notes, recertifications, and discharge documentation.
- Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques and safety.
- Collaborate with PT, SLP, nursing, dietitians, and social work to support discharge readiness.
- Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
- Supervise OTAs and students as per state practice act.
