Job summary

The Riverside Premier Rehabilitation and Healing Center in Manhattan is hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist to join our rehabilitation team on site. You will interview with the people you will actually work with, supported by leadership and a 35-facility network for clinical mentorship and growth.

We welcome new graduates and offer structured mentorship, hands-on orientation, ongoing clinical education, and a leadership track to help you grow within a collaborative interdisciplinary care

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid OT license/registration in the state of practice, or license eligible.
• Ability to supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants per state practice act.
• Experience with clinical documentation including evaluations, progress notes, recertifications, and discharge summaries.
• Commitment to confidentiality, HIPAA, and Federal Resident Rights.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate referred residents to determine medical status, functional ability, limitations, precautions, and rehabilitation potential.
• Create individualized treatment plans with measurable goals based on resident capacity and tolerance.
• Deliver occupational therapy interventions focused on ADL, safety, and return to prior function.
• Complete evaluations, weekly progress notes, recertifications, and discharge documentation on time.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques, safety, and carryover strategies.
• Collaborate with PT, SLP, nursing, dietitians, and social work to support discharge readiness.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
• Supervise OTAs and students per state act.

Education

Degree in Occupational Therapy (OT)

Valid OT license/registration (NY or eligible)
