ARMStaffing is seeking an Occupational Therapist to plan, organize, develop, and supervise OT treatment in accordance with current standards. You will participate in interdisciplinary teams, discharge planning, and educate patients and families while supervising OTAs and students.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid, current state license as an Occupational Therapist.
• BLS certification is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s level of functioning upon physician orders and plan appropriate treatments.
• Participate in the interdisciplinary team process and discharge planning, including patient/family education and adaptive equipment recommendations.
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and OT/COTA students, ensuring competency in application of OT theory and techniques.
• Maintain compliance with documentation policies, including daily progress notes and discharge plans.
• Promote a culture of safety for patients and staff through adherence to safety policies and guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families, using clear language that matches their level of understanding.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance patient care and attend scheduled team conferences.
• Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling and a willingness to resolve conflicts.
• Instill confidence in team members, patients, and families by exhibiting professionalism and accountability.
