Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking an occupational therapist to deliver and supervise OT services, evaluate patients, and develop plans of care to maximize functional outcomes. Care is provided within a team approach involving disciplines, family and patient, with potential pediatric/adolescent orthopedic cases.

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Washington Occupational Therapist License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and supervises occupational therapy services.
• Performs evaluations and develops plans of care to maximize functional outcomes.
• Implements plans of care, reassesses treatment results and participates in discharge planning.
• Care may include pediatric/adolescent orthopedic patients as required.
• Services cover inpatient and outpatient settings at Ballard and Issaquah clinics.

Job description

The occupational therapist (OT) delivers and supervises others in the delivery of occupational therapy services. Upon referral, the OT performs evaluations and develops individual plans of care to maximize functional outcomes, implements the plans of care, reassesses treatment results, and actively participates in discharge planning.Services are delivered within the framework of a team approach, including appropriate disciplines, significant others and the patient. Provision of care for pediatric adolescent orthopedic patients may be required.Coverage of both inpatient and outpatient services may be required at the Ballard and Issaquah clinics. These services are delivered in compliance with ethical standards, policies and procedures, national and professional standards, state practice acts, and current accepted state of the art practice.

Required Qualifications:
