Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an Occupational Therapy Program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
• At least one year of clinical experience as an occupational therapist.
• Valid, unencumbered Occupational Therapist License approved by Georgia Board of Occupational Therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and NBCOT certification maintained.

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive evaluations, testing, and treatment for patients with complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Educates patients and families with tailored explanations.
• Develops and adjusts individualized treatment plans with clear, measurable goals.
• Ensures daily practices align with established patient care standards.
• Recommends appropriate equipment for patient care.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and participates in care conferences.
• Mentors staff and serves as Clinical Instructor for short-term and long-term students.
• Documents patient care details and participates in quality assurance activities.
