Job summary

Emory Healthcare in Decatur, GA is seeking an Occupational Therapist II to provide comprehensive evaluations and treatments for patients with complex medical conditions. You will educate patients and families, develop goals, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, while serving as a clinical instructor for students.

Preferred LTAC/ICU experience with current Georgia OT licensure and BLS/NBCOT certifications.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from an Occupational Therapy Program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
• Experience: At least one year of clinical experience as an occupational therapist.
• Licensure: A valid, unencumbered Occupational Therapist License approved by Georgia Board of Occupational Therapy.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS); NBCOT certification must be kept current.

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive evaluations, testing, and treatment for patients with complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Educates patients and families in a manner tailored to their needs.
• Develops and adjusts individualized treatment plans with clear, measurable goals.
• Documents patient care details and records service charges accurately.
• Mentors staff and participates in peer reviews and quality assurance activities.
