Job summary

Dignity Health - St. John’s Hospital Camarillo in Camarillo, CA is seeking an Occupational Therapist to help patients regain independence through comprehensive assessments, treatment plans, and evaluations.

You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, document thoroughly, and provide motivating care to a high volume of patients. The role requires flexibility, organization, and strong teamwork, with responsibilities including abuse reporting, performance assessments, physician order

Qualifications

• CA license required upon hire.
• Basic Life Support - CPR required upon hire.
• Ability to work with a high volume of patients.

Responsibilities

• Abuse protection and reporting: identifies and reports patient abuse and neglect.
• Assessment: identifies functional deficits and evaluates daily living and motor skills.
• Accurately interprets physician orders.
• Bedside swallowing assessment and dysphagia screening.
• Communicates with healthcare team and attends care meetings.
• Continuing Education: attends at least one hospital or departmental inservice monthly.
