Job summary

Dominican Hospital, part of Dignity Health, is seeking an Occupational Therapist to help patients regain independence and quality of life. You will assess diverse cases, develop treatment plans, and conduct evaluations in a fast-paced acute care environment.

You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, document thoroughly, and provide motivating care while adhering to AIDET communication principles and strong teamwork. A state license in California and CPR/BLS are required upon hire.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy with a minimum of B.A. or B.S. and in good standing.
• Minimum of one year of experience as an O.T.R. in physical disabilities setting, preferably in acute care or acute rehabilitation.
• Completion of six to nine months internship in an acute care or acute rehab unit.
• Licensed to practice in California upon hire and BLS/CPR certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess diverse patients (orthopedic, neurological, sensory, cancer recovery, etc.) and develop treatment plans.
• Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and document thoroughly.
• Provide motivating, patient-centered care to a high volume of patients.
