Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine seeks an Occupational Therapist I to assess and support patients toward their highest function. Under supervision of Rehab Therapy leaders, you’ll conduct evaluations, design individualized plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve outcomes.

You’ll mentor peers, contribute to service improvements, and uphold the hospital’s commitment to equity, patient-centered care, and clinical excellence in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Knowledge: Social, behavioral, biological, and physical sciences foundational to Occupational Therapy.
• Skills: OT theory, evaluation and treatment techniques, leadership and research application.
• Licensure: Maryland Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners; CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients using objective assessment techniques and address occupational limitations.
• Develop and implement customized treatment programs to maximize functional potential.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to maximize patient and team outcomes.
• Mentor team members and contribute to service improvements.
• Support department and hospital systems to enhance patient outcomes.
