Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine in Glen Burnie, MD, is seeking an Occupational Therapist I to assess and support patients toward their highest level of function. Under supervision, you’ll create personalized treatment plans and work with a multidisciplinary team to improve outcomes.

You’ll mentor peers and contribute to service improvements while upholding our values of equitable, high-quality patient care in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Knowledge: OT theory, evaluation and treatment techniques, research application, leadership.
• Skills: Advanced communication and interpersonal skills for patient and team engagement.
• Licensure: Maryland OT license and current CPR certification.
• Experience: Minimum 18 months as a licensed Occupational Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients using objective assessment techniques, focusing on occupational limitations and medical conditions.
• Develop and implement customized treatment programs to help patients reach their maximum functional potential.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure patient and team outcomes are maximized.
• Mentor team members, promoting quality and excellence in patient care.
• Contribute to the improvement of department and hospital systems to support patient outcomes.
