TalentBurst has an opening for an Occupational Therapist in Home Health in Wisconsin. You will evaluate and treat adults in home health settings, collaborating with RN and PT teams to support patient independence and safety.

Requires 3 years OT experience, WI license, and BLS. 13-week assignment with 40-hour weeks, Mon-Fri, 7:45–16:00; EPIC EMR experience preferred.

Competenze

• Minimum of 3 years OT experience (SNF, home health, or acute care; home health preferred).
• BLS and Wisconsin license required.
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required; driving license and automobile insurance preferred.

Mansioni

• Home health position covering Kenosha and Racine Counties in WI.
• Work with RN and PT interdisciplinary teams.
• Case Load: 6 patients/points per day; evaluation visits 1.5 hours, standard visit 1 hour.
• Morning team huddle via phone each morning.

Day Shift 8 hours/day 5 days/week

Title: Occupational Therapist Home Health

Location: West Allis Wisconsin 53227

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: 8hr Day Shift (40)

Shift Information: M-F 08-1630

Clinical Interviewing- Yes, Manager to review any offers

On Call, Call Back Requirements: None

Holiday Requirements: None

Floating Requirements: May require floating to neighbor cities

About Facility:

• Home Health position that covers Kenosha and Racine Counties in Wisconsin

General Information:

• Beds: N/A

Minimum Years of Experience: 3 years minimum OT experience. SNF, home health, or acute care, but preferrable to home health experience

Will you accept a first-time traveler: Yes

• All adults, strictly home health
• Geriatrics, post-stroke, post-joint replacement, weakness, deconditioning, COPD, CHF, etc.
• Will work with RN and PT interdisciplinary teams.
• Morning team huddle via phone every morning
• Case Load: 6 patients/”points” per day – Evaluation visits are 1.5, standard visit is 1

Required Licensure & Certifications:

• BLS, WI License
• Will accept a bachelor's degree in occupational therapy
• Vehicle, active driver's license, active auto insurance

Skills required:

• General OT treatment and evaluation skills – focus on ADLs and adaptive equipment

Support within the Department:

• RN and PT interdisciplinary team
• PT lead and PT manager
• Other OTs

Technology/Equipment: EMR: EPIC – preferred.

Floating:

• Racine County and Kenosha County, WI. Most patients are within 20-30 minutes but could have occasional patient that could be close to an hour away (not common).

Orientation (facility and unit) :

• First day of orientation will take place at National Avenue office in Milwaukee
• Will go through EPIC class
• Remainder of the week will be orientation with a preceptor

Scheduling:

• Approval of RTO: to go through manager
• Shift times: around 0745-1600, Monday – Friday.
• Schedule cycle: see above

Other notes:

• Scrub Color: Business casual or any color scrubs
• Parking: at patient houses
