Job summary

Select Medical's NovaCare Rehabilitation in McMurray, PA seeks a PRN Hand Therapist/Occupational Therapist for our outpatient orthopedic center. The role requires OT background, with preference for a Certified Hand Therapist, or level II fieldwork in hands.

Weekday hours; compensation $45.00-$50.00 per hour, depending on experience. You’ll work with a team of hand therapists, have access to CEUs, a nationwide support network, 401(k) after 1,000 hours, and diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school for occupational therapy
• State OT license (or license eligible)
• CPR certification
• Valid state driver's license
• 1 Year of Outpatient experience

Responsibilities

• Best Practices: Stay current with OT research and apply evidence-based practice.
• Build Relationships: Develop relationships with referral sources and maintain interaction with centers and patients.
• Collaborative Approach: Set patient goals and decide OT frequency/duration with the referring physician.
• High Standard of Care: Follow state Practice Act and supervise OT staff where allowed.
• Innovative Opportunities: Design and implement new programs with manager approval.
• Leadership: Supervise and delegate OT care per state and federal rules.
• Personalized Treatment: Provide comprehensive, individualized treatment plans and timely documentation.

Position: Occupational Therapist/Hand Therapist - Outpatient

Schedule: PRN, Weekdays (Hours vary as needed)

Compensation: $45.00 - $50.00, hourly, based on years of experience

NovaCare Rehabilitation is seeking a PRN Hand Therapist-Occupational Therapist for ouroutpatient orthopedic center! Although a certified hand therapist (CHT) is preferred, we are willing to consider occupational therapists with a level II fieldwork in hands (required). We have a network of hand therapists and CHTs available for support and are excited to mentor occupational therapists aspiring to be a CHT.

Responsibilities

• Best Practices: Stay current and up to date with Occupational Therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).
• Build Relationships: Enhance, develop and expand relationships with referral sources and maintain a positive level of interaction with centers and patients.
• Collaborative Approach: Develop objective patient goals and establish the type, frequency and duration of occupational therapy in collaboration with the referring physician.
• High Standard of Care: Understand appropriate state Practice Act and adhere to the laws that govern how OTs may practice and whom they may supervise.
• Innovative Opportunities: Participate in the design and implementation of new programs or procedures with the approval of the manager and referring physicians per HIPPA guidelines.
• Leadership: Supervise and delegate occupational therapy care for each patient within the guidelines of state rules and federal regulations.
• Personalized Treatment: Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment programs and demonstrate completion of patient care responsibilities and documentation requirements in an appropriate and timely manner.

Qualifications
