Job summary

NovaCare Rehabilitation in Moon Township is seeking a Full-Time Temporary Hand Therapist-Occupational Therapist to join our outpatient orthopedic center. The role offers maternity leave coverage with supervision of assistants and evidence-based practice.

Certification as a Hand Therapist (CHT) is preferred, but level II fieldwork in hands may qualify. We provide mentorship and a nationwide professional support network for growth in hand therapy, with CEUs, career growth, and a 401(k) plan after

Qualifications

• Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) -accredited school of occupational therapy
• CPR certification
• Valid driver’s license
• Two years of experience in custom splinting pre/post-op orthopedic (preferred)
• Two years in adult rehabilitation; hand and splinting experience preferred (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other team members; supervise assistants and aides and contribute to case management.
• Stay current with occupational therapy research and employ evidence-based practice.
• Provide comprehensive, individualized treatment from evaluation to discharge.
• Maintain positive interactions with centers and patients and expand client relations.

Position: Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapist

Location: Moon Township and surrounding areas

Schedule: Full-Time Temporary (Maternity Leave Coverage)

NovaCare Rehabilitation is seeking a Full-Time Temporary Hand Therapist-Occupational Therapist for ouroutpatient orthopedic center! Although a certified hand therapist (CHT) is preferred, we are willing to consider occupational therapists with a level II fieldwork in hands (required). We have a network of hand therapists and CHTs available for support and are excited to mentor occupational therapists aspiring to be a CHT.

Responsibilities

• Collaboration: Supervise assistants and aides and contribute to case management.
• High Standard of Care: Stay current and up to date with occupational therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).
• Personalized Treatment: Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment, from evaluating and creating a plan of care to treatment and discharge.
• Relationship-Building: Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.

Qualifications
