Job summary

NovaCare Rehabilitation is seeking a PRN Hand Therapist-Occupational Therapist for our outpatient orthopedic center. Although a certified hand therapist (CHT) is preferred, we will consider occupational therapists with a level II fieldwork in hands.

We have a network of hand therapists and CHTs for support and mentorship. This PRN position offers an hourly rate of $40.00–$55.00, maternity leave coverage, and flexible scheduling (Mon-Fri).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AOTA-accredited OT program.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise assistants and aides and contribute to case management.
• Stay current with OT research and apply evidence-based practice.
• Provide comprehensive, individualized treatment from evaluation to discharge.
• Maintain positive relationships with facilities and patients and expand client relations.

Schedule: PRN (Maternity Leave Coverage) Flexible Schedule (Monday - Friday)

Compensation: Hourly, $40.00 - $55.00/Hr, commensurate with experience

NovaCare Rehabilitation is seeking a PRN Hand Therapist-Occupational Therapist for ouroutpatient orthopedic center! Although a certified hand therapist (CHT) is preferred, we are willing to consider occupational therapists with a level II fieldwork in hands (required). We have a network of hand therapists and CHTs available for support and are excited to mentor occupational therapists aspiring to be a CHT.

Responsibilities

• Collaboration: Supervise assistants and aides and contribute to case management.
• High Standard of Care: Stay current and up to date with occupational therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).
• Personalized Treatment: Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment, from evaluating and creating a plan of care to treatment and discharge.
• Relationship-Building: Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) -accredited school of occupational therapy
• CPR certification
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least two years of experience in the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedic
• Minimum two years in adult rehabilitation; hand and splinting experience preferred
