Select Physical Therapy in Tamarac, FL is seeking a PRN Hand Therapist-Occupational Therapist to join our outpatient orthopedic center. The role offers $40-$50/hour compensation pending experience, with opportunities to mentor toward CHT credentials and participate in our national hand therapy program.

The position supports collaboration under supervision, requires current evidence-based practice, and includes professional development through national symposia, study clubs, and expanded CEU

Qualifications

• Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) -accredited school of occupational therapy
• CPR certification is required
• Valid driver’s license is required

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with centers, supervise assistants and aides, and contribute to case management.
• Stay current with occupational therapy research and apply evidence-based practice.
• Provide comprehensive, individualized evaluation, treatment planning, and discharge.
• Maintain positive relationships with facilities and staff to expand client referrals.

Position: Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapist

Location: 7160 N University Dr., Tamarac, FL 33321

Schedule: Weekdays, 2 days/week, PRN

Compensation:$40-$50/hour pending experience

Select Physical Therapy is seeking a PRN Hand Therapist-Occupational Therapist for ouroutpatient orthopedic center! Although a certified hand therapist (CHT) is preferred, we are willing to consider occupational therapists with a level II fieldwork in hands (required). We have a network of hand therapists and CHTs available for support and are excited to mentor occupational therapists aspiring to be a CHT.

Responsibilities

• Collaboration: Supervise assistants and aides and contribute to case management.
• High Standard of Care: Stay current and up to date with occupational therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).
• Personalized Treatment: Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment, from evaluating and creating a plan of care to treatment and discharge.
• Relationship-Building: Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) -accredited school of occupational therapy
• CPR certification
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least two years of experience in the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedic
• Minimum two years in adult rehabilitation; hand and splinting experience preferred
