Job summary

The Rehabilitation Center of Oakland is seeking an Occupational Therapist to lead patient care plans and oversee OT assistants in a geriatric rehabilitation setting. You will evaluate patients, implement treatment plans, and document progress in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Occupational Therapist state licensure.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Aids in restoration and enhancement of independent function; evaluates and treats patients; communicates with families, physicians and health team.
• Provides patient treatments and develops treatment plans; obtains physician approvals.
• Supervises Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and aides in direct patient care.
• Documents services in medical records and records treatment charges.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team and participates in team conferences.
