Job summary

Rockport Healthcare Services seeks a licensed Occupational Therapist in Hawthorne, CA to deliver patient-centered therapy, evaluate needs, and develop individualized treatment plans. You will collaborate with physicians, families, and the rehab team to optimize functional outcomes and independence.

The role includes supervising aides, documenting progress, and participating in professional development, with emphasis on safe, compliant practice and high-quality patient care on-site.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Occupational Therapy evaluation and treatments.
• Ability to supervise and direct assistants and aides.
• Understanding of physical modalities used in Occupational Therapy.
• Knowledge of prosthetic/orthotic devices and adaptive equipment.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient documentation.
• Ability to work with diverse patient populations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and therapeutic interventions.
• Develop treatment plans and obtain physician approvals.
• Supervise OT assistants and aides per policy and regulation.
• Document care in the medical record and manage billing-related entries.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and communicate patient progress.
• Educate families on follow-up programs and home exercises.
