Henderson Health & Rehabilitation Center in Henderson, NC is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to help patients develop daily living skills and independence. You will perform assessments, create individualized treatment plans, and work with a multidisciplinary team to support meaningful progress.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current North Carolina Occupational Therapist license or eligibility to obtain the required license.
• Strong clinical judgment, assessment, and treatment-planning abilities.
• Effective communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team while managing responsibilities independently.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including assisting patients with mobility and lifting up to 50 pounds as needed.

Responsabilités

• Performing patient assessments to identify functional limitations, abilities, and therapy needs.
• Creating treatment plans with measurable goals tailored to each patient.
• Providing therapeutic activities that support daily living skills, coordination, strength, and functional independence.
• Reassessing patients regularly and adapting interventions based on their response to treatment.
• Maintaining complete clinical documentation in accordance with professional and regulatory requirements.
• Working with nursing staff, physicians, and other rehabilitation professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Teaching patients and families strategies, adaptive techniques, and safe practices to encourage independence.
• Contributing to care planning and maintaining a positive, patient-focused therapy environment.
